Anchored by a geometric walnut base, Comet celebrates the interplay of form and material. The alabaster’s soft translucence and intricate veining come to life when illuminated, creating a warm glow that highlights its natural beauty. Rooted in ancient Egyptian tradition, our hand-carved alabaster is shaped by artisans at Luxor’s Qurna Center using time-honored techniques. The walnut base, crafted from two interlocking sheets, forms a graceful arch, inspired by vaulted truss dome roofs, blending modern design with timeless geometry. Comet is the manifestation of the architect in us—a celebration of light, form, and structure.

The alabaster creates a soft, ambient light, with a smooth, waxed surface and delicate veining resembling marble. The light and material interplay brings out its creamy hues and intricate patterns, highlighting the alabaster’s natural textures and beauty.

As each lamp is handmade from natural alabaster and wood, expect slight variations in hue, veining, and shape—making every piece one of a kind.
